Beyond Cultural Competency-Online
April 17th, 2023
Most of us understand that to be truly and fully “culturally competent” is impossible, but that to remain humble and open is the most important step toward developing the meaningful connections needed for us as individuals and also for our organizations. Only by pulling back the layers of our own identities and those of our clients can we truly ensure that not only we but also our practices themselves are truly humble and open to growth and change when new cultural learning presents itself. Join Erica Tatum-Sheade LCSW and Ryan M. Sheade, LCSW for “Beyond Cultural Competency,” where over the course of three hours we will dive deeply into cultural differences and how to most effectively foster competency/humility in ourselves as practitioners and in our organizations. This class meets the requirements for the necessary three hours of cultural competency training in a licensure cycle under the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners
